In Bangladesh, India, during monsoon season, rain pour over the city and hundreds of schools have to shut down.

The organization Shidhulai Swanirvar sangstha built solar powered boat schools to provide uninterrupted education year round.The simple floating structures are made of locally-sourced natural materials, and each boat is equipped with rooftop solar panels, a small library with electronic resources, and a laptop with internet connectivity.

Coal mining is to obtain coal from the ground. Coal is valued for its energy content and it had been used to generate electricity since 1880s. The main types of coal are bituminous (soft coal), anthracite (hard coal), and subbituminous coal.

Bituminous coal is very common and has several uses, while subbituminous coals like peat have limited uses.

Red Hot

27th November 2012, an explosion eruption began at Tolbachik volcano. The ash was reported to a height of 33,000 ft drifting north and northwest of the volcano. The height of ash emission was estimated from seismic records. Ashfall was reported at villages 35 km west of the Tolbachik to a depth of 4 cm.

During the peak activity at Tolbachik on 28-29 November 2012 eruptive fissures spread over tens of kilometres, and the eruption was heard 60 kilometres away.

Icehotel in Lapland

Ice hotel is the hotel made up by snow. The Icehotel in Lapland located in swenden, in Jukkasjärvi, a tiny little town 200 km north of the Arctic Circle.  Although it's not the cheapest, it is the biggest and best and the sight of this hulking structure of snow and ice on the banks of the Torne river is certainly impressive.

Every winter, ice is cut from the frozen Torne River in Jukkasjärvi. Builders and artists get to work with mammoth sized ice blocks and at the end of frenzied months of chopping, cutting, sculpting and probably a lot of schnapps drinking, you get one ICEHOTEL and an ICEBAR. And a lot of tendonitis injuries. Then to add insult to injury, it melts every spring.

The northern lights flash above a guest outside the icehotel, the largest frozen hotel in the world.

Bermuda Triangle

Bermuda triangle can also called Devil's triangle.The places whereby the formation of Bermuda triangle are Miami (Florida peninsula), San Juan (Puerto Rico), and in the mid-Atlantic island of Bermuda.

The presence of methane hydrates indicates enormous eruptions of methane bubbles that would swamp a ship, and projected high into the air- take out flying airplanes, as well.

"Any ships caught within the methane mega-bubble immediately lose all buoyancy and sink to the bottom of the ocean. If the bubbles are big enough and possess a high enough density they can also knock aircraft out of the sky with little or no warning. Aircraft falling victim to these methane bubbles will lose their engines-perhaps igniting the methane surrounding them-and immediately lose their lift as well, ending their flights by diving into the ocean and swiftly plummeting."

Quicksand

Quicksand formed when the water reduce the friction between sand particles.Therefore, the sand started to "move".The quicksand happen more frequently in few places,such as riverbank, beach, shoreline, near underground springs and swamps.

In some action movies,when a person drop into the quicksand,then person will sink into the sand and after than die.Movies give us a wrong concept.The density of human is 1g/ml,and the density of quicksand is 2g/ml.Compare to both density,human will not sink until cover the head but will
sink until the waist then stop.The situation that a person die in quicksand might probably because of too afraid and struggle try to go away from quicksand.Must remember the more you struggle in it the faster you will sink.So just relax yourself and try to move slow motion.This can reduce viscosity.Besides,extend arm and band down leg to increase surface area can lead to float up.

Tsunami: The Aftermath

Before the tsunami happens in Thailand,a lot of people do not aware of what is tsunami or even never heard about it.When the tsunami came to Thailand,therefore a lot of people dead.

The movie "Tsunami: The Aftermath" used the Thailand tsunami as background to commemorate the victimcs and helps people raise awareness of the impact of the tsunami.Because of this,this movie received a lot of prizes such as Primetime Emmy Awards,Golden Globel Awards,Monte-Carlo Television Festival Awares,Imaga Awards,Befta Awards and Humanitas Prize.

The beginning of this movie,an english couple (Ian and Susie) take their daughter (Martha) go to Thailand for chrismis holiday.Bad dream happened after chrismas,the sudden came of tsunami cause a lot of people death.After tsunami,the english couple's daughter missing, the sametime an englishwomen (Kim Peabody) and his son (Adam) are looking for her husband (James) and elder son (John).

Because of too many people death,the goverment have to burn the death body or else will cause infection disease occur.But Ian feel that if those death body burned,their family didn't know whether their relative still alive or death.Therefore,he protect James's body because he don't let other to burn it.

At the end of the movie,Ian and susie can't find their daughter and they adoption a girl look like their daughter.

The acid sea

Acid sea,this term of words might not familiar for us.As we normally know what is acid rain.The acid sea basically is carbon dioxide seeping into the ocean and slowly acidifying them.

In this situation,it does not mean that when we exhale then give out carbon dioxide and its pollute the ocean.The ocean will be acidified due to bilion tons of carbon dioxide.The main factors are forests been cutted down and indusrial revolution.The air and water offen exchange gases,therefore,pollution emitted into the atmosphere end up into the ocean.

As low pH value,a lot of aquatic animal eventually dead because of they can not live in the acidic sea water.
